Welding class

I would like to have someone, preferably a certified weldor, teach me how to weld. I guess to start with I just want to learn MIG. I have done some welding with Flux core but I want to make some larger things that could hold some weight, so I need to trust the welds. Obviously I will pay the person for their time and I could do it at my shop. I don’t have a welder so if this person had one they could bring or I could pick it up, that would be great. I’m pretty much just looking for someone to come into my shop for an afternoon and show me the basics and I can go from there.

i want to learn as well i will chip in on this jesse.

i heard the adult learning center was good

Dont have that much time and money.lol. Just looking for the basic’s.

isn’t it like under 200 bucks? and they provide materials. and they do it as a night class so it doesn’t interfere

Is this available to anyone? Seems like a great deal. I took welding I & II at ERIE 1 BOCES. It was a good course but the price has doubled since I went I believe. When I took it ran 350 per course but now its 650 I think.

yes i believe it is for whoever

Call Adult Learning Center
I beleive its $600/5month training and they help you find a job right after. My buddie did it and is making a little under $20hr

Good luck!

I’m actually looking more for someone to come into my shop for the afternoon and just show me the basics and I can go from there.

They have a really nice facility there. They also have classes for engine rebuilding and just about anything else you can imagine.

if its mig welding, the best teaching you can get is PRACTICE…

You can save a lot of practice time if people show you the right way to practice.
