I dont get this… seat width, seat height, etc… is right on par with all the other models… ergos are more comfy on a 250 as well
Obviously, unless your rocking a 600cc + crotch rocket your not cool.
not on older ones. it’s like riding a ttr80 compared to a yz250
edit: i rode like a 96 250r and it was like this, my friend had an 08 250r and it was pretty much the same as a 600 as far as size
Then I say, have your spatula ready
You might get “bored” of the straight line speed of a 250, but you will not even come close to riding it to its potential in your first years. I rode a friends 250 last week and it was a ton of fun, if you’re just commuting and going out for the occasional joy ride, it will be perfect. Can’t complain with 70mpg. Here’s my friends after I detailed it:
As much as I’d like to agree with you here, as a rider you want something to happen when you apply some throttle. Sure, 250s are great on gas for a commuter, but are simply too castrated to be enjoyable for anyone other than a beginner learning basic skills.
I like the idea of owning a 250, but in real application I think I’d rip my hair out if I actually owned one.
Man do I have the bike for you…
Needs work though…
What better way to get into the sport than to buy a fixer upper?
