Does anybody know how I can find a color code so that I can get some paint mixed? I know it says it in the drivers side door jam, but it apparently just gives that it’s red. Maaco had a hard time finding the exact color mixture last time I needed something painted. I know my paint is called “Aztec” red.
I’m hoping that made sense. :rolleyes:
Look on the metal tag that is against the firewall that also shows your chassis number and vin number. There will be a code there…
for example, on my 240 the paint code was TH1 B.
The codes are very specific, TH1, will look different that TH1 B…

TH1 has five variants, but only 3 are in the PPG chip catalog, and all five are in the PPG computer. i’m assuming the other two are for jambs and engine bay.

The hatch has been repaired and primed, but it’s not on my car. I’m alos repairing the fenders and front bumper and priming them, so I’ll get a picture of the car all together.

I still remember when I purchased the car and the guy showed me the spoiler was foam, I thought he was kidding, then sure as shit he pushed his fingers into it and it gave in. It reminds me of a sponge.
I fucking hated my foam spoiler. First thing I did when I ripped the damn thing off was to smash it, and smash it good. Except the damn piece of metal inside prevented me from breaking it into pieces. I love smashing. :E
My metal piece was rusted to shit, so when I smashed that bastard it snapped like a twig.
Aaah that would have indeed been fun. I had to settle for severely bent. If I don’t like a part on my car, I break it. For instance, an AC line I had been cutting burnt me. So when I fully cut it out, I proceeded to whip it at things and watching it bend around them and take their shape. I then smashed it paper thin with a hammer.
I’m allready planning for what I’m going to do to my HICAS system. :E
Also, if you don’t mind me asking 2003specv, where did you get those tail lights? I quite like the look of them. I know they’re the chromey “euro” lights, so no need to explain they’ve been painted.
