No start on 93 Dodge Caravan

I have a no start on a 93 Dodge Caravan, turn the key and you get nothing, no clicking from a bad battery, no whining from a bad starter, i hear the fuel pump turn on…

What can i do to narrow down the search?
Need help asap!!

Maybe neutral safety switch, or wiring. And verify that the silanoid for the starter is working properly.

Yep sounds like the problem I had on my 1990 Nissan Stanza. Lets just narrow it down together shall we. If you have lights and radio its not Battery. Since there is no winding of the starter then its not fuel or spark. Which leads me to beleave that your starter is either gone or is stuck. Starters do have a tendency to get stuck especially old ones. First locate the starter it should look just like this. I highly recomend picking up the Chilton’s Manual for your vehicle it will tell you where the start is and how to remove it.

Then give it a few wraps with a hammer. This shouldn’t be to hard since by now you must be pretty pissed off with the car. If that doesn’t work then the starter needs to be replaced. Lets see here your 93 caravan came with two possible starters and Auto Zone has both of them for $89.99. Thats alittle pricey, but then again its Auto Zone and their customer service is amazing. Starters are pretty easy to install yourself. The only problem I could think you might have is getting to the starter, because you are working on a minivan. Again take a look at the Chilton’s guide for your vehicle to see how to get at it. Post with any more questions.

check the starter relay connections at the relay

you may also be able to get a “reconditioned” started at autozone, occasionaly they have that option. that, or 2060 auto on william may have a used one for cheap if the new ones from autozone break your bank

Remove radiator cap…

install new vehicle.

haa haa a laughed out loud…but yea check relays…then use hammer
