Ok I found a 92 didge spirit. 81k on it. new tires, guy said it ran awsome, but sat for a month because he got a new job and just got a truck. Only problem is it wont start. He put in a new battery and it still wouldnt start. I am thinking maby a neutral safety switch or something. I dont know anything about these engines really so I dont know what it could be, but he said that if I have have it taken to a garage and fixed and take the price of repairs off the asking price. hes asking 500 b/o so wtf…if it costs 100 to fix then thats $400 for a winter car in awsome shape. The thing is SUPER clean (owned by an old guy before he baught it 6 weeks ago). What do you guys think?
Sorry about the spelling, I’m at the firehall and no spell check lol.
well, if it wont turn over it’s either the starter, the starter solenoid, or the ignition switch… not much else really. the starting circuit on older cars is remarkably simple.
checFOR a cORRODED TERMINAL SOME PEOPLE LOOK THAT OVER. THEN HIT STARTER SOLENOID with a hammer. if it starts you need a starter. dont just buy a solenoid.if thats not it find thesocket size for the harmonic balancer ger a breaker bar see if the engine turns over freely.
