Kind of on that topic, well not exactly but, at tthe Parade this weekend NONE of my friends could a get a cell signal downtown. God Buffalo sucks in everyway possible.
My wife called me after the parade from and said she had no reception down there as well.

You can get 5 band ones for <$300. Great investments in today’s world. Put a few in at some offices for that reason. Lol. They are pretty good range too. Usually about 150 feet.
eh, i kinda doubt that. in these areas, VZW likes to under promise and over deliver. just had a convo about this the day before i left for vacation…
If you have some decent electronic and soldering knowledge I’m sure you can make one yourself. Tons of military development went into these a while back for use over seas. It’s finally been reverse engineered by the Chinese and is cheap to even buy yourself.

I’m surprised it’s taking this long to get out there. They’ve had these overseas for close to a decade now with a realistic 50m range at least
it would be nice if we could get some decent 3g speeds in more areas before they worry about 4g. I’m lucky to get 50 kB/s at home.
