Non-240 engine question

Actually… not even a Nissan question lol. I have had a cast iron V8 block for years now and would like to know more about it. I have no information on it other then that it was going to rebuilt and put in a old truck that was one of my moms ex-boyfriends. Said it came out of an older Vette. Only thing I can see on it is in the second pic, to the right above where the crank goes it says B with a 3 under it.

The thing is dirty as all hell, and I haven’t bothered to clean it. But if anyone knows there GM V8’s that can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Here’s some pics!

have you tried measuring the bore? lol 350ci are the most common and cheapest vette motor but i wouldnt be surprised if he was bsing and it wasnt from a vette

my guess is it is a 350. Would be alot better if it was a 4-bolt main (and worth more lol) to figure out what it actually is. Just found an interesting site that goes into detail on how to try and figure out exactly what it is.

lol found some numbers on it, turns out it’s a 1970-1975 350. its only a 2 bolt, so it’s not from a Vette, possibilities are Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, Monte Carlo or possibly a truck lol. Wonder what the block itself might be worth.

Sweet pj’s

Probably $39 in scrap value

clean it up and make this then its worth some money
