So my Microsoft word 2007 told me in 13 days it will tell microsoft I have a non-genuine copy of office.
How do I fix this without buying a whole new program?

Is it genuine? If not buy it. You’re a student still right…you get a nice discount.
If you have a friend that goes to ub, you can just make a copy of the software that they give out to students.
Otherwise just download openoffice, I like it better in a lot of ways.
I tried open office. full of fail.
and i’ll look into the student discount…
I got 2007 ultimate for $59 through the student promotion…

You get it for free from UB. You’re going to RIT right? I bet they’ll provide it too.
rit = 6 months away. lol.
60 bucks isnt bad though.
Add/Remove programs under control panel, go to view installed windows updates, and remove Office 2007 Genuine Advantage Notifications. Then it will work fine as long as you dont update it
and that is free. thank you sir
:danny: which one?
Hmm…i guess they got a little sneakier more recently. Try this.
shit. for some reason I dont like computer programming type things.
time to justify $60 or doing that hack… thanks for the info though
Just create a restore point and give it a shot. if you fuck up, restore back.
Yea, true. i still need to do a reinstall. its still a little messed up from when i was dealing with CAD (pretty sure windows explorer freezes when i close the lid and re-open it. so I just leave it open all the time, just using a screen saver)
if ur gonna format anyway then just next time you get the windows updates, dont get that genuine advantage one.
I tend to procrastinate doing things. lol. it all works fine now so its hard to make time to do it.
what if I uninstall and re-install office?
