I figure that we were able to squeeze enough power out of it for street tires, and a killer MPH is only good for so much. It’s time to slap on some slicks and see how low we can get this ET on a stock turbo. The rotas and QTPs that we have require a 15mm spacer, so these wheel studs are an absolute must!
Like always, thanks Emery and everyone at STM for helping me out and helping to make this car what it is today!
BTW, it is also a very special day, because I passed inspection finally!!!
Shitty. I only went 11.906 @ 120.41 as my best so far. That was spinning 1st REALLY bad and then bogging second, so there is a lot left in it. I hope that the slicks let me pick up 1 - 2 mph, and then drop my ET… a lot.
My car was always pretty quick. Even when I got it, the motor was tight, and with nothing but an exhaust I went 12.8 @ 107 without the use of 3rd gear. I spent money on an AEM EMS, a built transmission, a good triple plate clutch, and got that down to a 12.4 @ 115 the run I broke my front diff on the launch, and let off a little bit after the 1000’.
With the addition of the Kelford cams, my car picked up another 5 mph. Emery does great tuning, and I drive the car hard, so it works for itself.
I think it’s probably a little bit lighter than most evo’s around here too :snky: It’s all in the setup, no trick here!
These brakes are smaller. It’s the AMS lightweight brake kit. 11.75" vented 2 piece disk up front, 2 pot caliper. 11.5" non-vented, drilled 2 piece disk in back with a 1 pot caliper.
They stop fine in the quarter, they are just not good for repeat stopping, and they are VERY noisy
