Militarily the only way we’re going to assist is if SOKO gets fed up and retaliates in full force. Then we’re obligated to back them up. And they’re not going to do that without our blessing beforehand unless things get real sketchy or someone presses the wrong button. Tensions are high but so far things are tapering off. NOKO did just sink a SOKO ship where 46 sailors died, so this is actually less of an aggressive move.
Politically everyone understands that little Kim is just trying to prove himself before taking power. Hell, they’re probably touting this as a great military victory for him in their media right now. We’ll give them some humanitarian aid since their people are still starving and China will help because they don’t need refugees pouring over the border. This will shut them up for a while like it always does.

Read something yesterday that China is not as buddy buddy with NOKO as it has been made out to seem. It was speculated that with the son going into power, NOKO’s government wouldn’t last 3-4 years and that China wouldn’t mind seeing a SOKO government ran peninsula as long as the U.S doesn’t occupy any of the northern boundary. Having China sick of their bullshit would be Fuchillo HUGE!!!.
