Norton Help?

Seeing if you guys can help. I am not Mr. computer savvy.
I have had Norton on my computer for a long time and I have also had AIM on my computer for a long time. I All of a sudden get a message from Norton yesterday… It said something like AOL trying to access the Internet, i don’t remember exactly what it said, but it gave me 4 options, Block all the time, Block this one time, Allow all the time, Allow this one time. I figured it was junk so i selected block all the time (thinking my AIM has been working all this time with no problems why would Norton see it as a threat now?) But anyway as soon as I did that BAM no more AIM. It can not connect. I looked briefly at the Norton Firewall setting to see if there was something labeled AIM but I didn’t. And don’t want to screw anything up. So can anyone help?

What version of Norton are you running?

Basically go to your Client Firewall settings, there is a tab for programs. That will bring you to a list of programs, and whether they are permitted/denied access. Find whatever program you need and change the setting to Allow or permit. If the program isn’t on the list, add it.

Thank you. Problem solved.
