I was pulled over today(no front plate…i lost it)…lady cop comes back ready to give me the ticket. She asks if i kno that its 110 fine…im like Yea i kno…shes like …? You know.?? im like yea i got it before…then shes like And u havnt gotten it fixed??? im like no i havnt had the money…i payed to get my whole front car fixed(as u can see its flat black from the front doors to the bumper because i converted to 91 bumper)…and while my car was in the shop they lost my plate and bracket and its 80 bucks for a new plate…shes like well its 110 fine u should have got the plate. now…the queston she asks was Touugh…Why should i NOT give you this ticket?..i said…Ughh…i dont think theres a legit answer to that queston. But what would u guys say if a cop asked u that when u were cought doing 10 over or w/e?? She started asking me what grade i was and checking to see him im a drop out kind of kid who deserves this ticket but she let me off cuz i have a good future with plans to go to the states for school, she even asked who was paying for the school in the states…i said i was(lies). Phew…i got off…i just hope she didnt write the ticket or ill be pissed…but again what would u guys have said to that queston??

Phfft i dont have 80 bucks that im willing to spend…most ill do is buy a tinted cover and make a photo copy of the rear just to save future hastles. I kinda want personal plates…then i will show both plates with pride, but their freaking expensive. Until then i shall not comply with the law. I learn it to break it done. :roll:

if i got pulled for no front plate…i still dont wear one… and they asked me i would say i prefer no front plate and i’ll keep it this way and keep fighitng the tickets.

It’s $20. that bitch doesnt know shit (this is assuming your sticker is still valid).
You have to get both plates replaced… they give you new ones with new numbers.
I know because I lost my front plate in a snowbank somewhere

Whatever, don’t cry to us when you get another ticket for having a photocopied plate. $20 - $80 isn’t a lot of money, if you can’t afford the ticket then make sure your legal. If you can’t afford to make your car legal, you can’t afford to drive so sell your car and get over it.
Now if your that cheap, i bet you can’t afford to make a proper photo copy… :S
Remember, TTC fares are relatively cheap compared to your insurance…

I simply just wanted to know what you guys would say to a officer when they ask…Why shouldnt i give you this ticket? This can be asked for a number of different tickets not just no front plate. even if i was booked for no plate…insurance sure doesnt go up…its not a moving violation. So please dont tell me that i should put my plate on…it goes in one ear right out the other. Back on track…What would u say to a cop when they ask you why they shouldnt give u a ticket?

There really is no correct answer, if you didn’t have the plate, you didn’t have it.
You could’ve just told her you deserve the ticket but asked her to let it go based on your word that you’d fix it, hoping she was in a good mood.
My 2 cents anyway… 
And one other thing - bite the bullet and get the plates done & done, once and for all, it’ll be very worth it.
