Now I've gone and done it....

PM’d

Nicely done!!!

Cheers

Looks awesome Colin. i would agree with your choice lightly modified and not beaten to death. I hope to see it this summer. Post some more pictures when its in you get it.

Thanks, will definetly post pics when I get it in and all purtied up.

When’s the big day? Are you picking it up from Vancouver or is it coming to Edmonton?

It’ll be arriving in March, not sure if I’ll be going to pick it up yet, see what the weather is like around then.

Nice, well let me know if you’re passing through the Calgary during any of the trip. Otherwise I guess I’ll have to wait for a meet!

Sure thing!

How’s it going Doozer and Smokebaby? Just happened to Google and find this one today. Seems as though it’s been around a while. lol

I didn’t read through the thread but saw the new ride. Pretty nice. What’s happening with the SE-R?

Still keeping the SER, only has 60k on it and I won’t get back the money I spent on it. Besides it’s still a lot of fun and a helluva lot more economical to drive around the city than wifeys’ bigass Pathfinder V8. It will continue on as my winter DD and summertime backup. Only about another month to go till it gets here!

can’t wait to see it Colin

:thumbup1: No doubt for this car… Very nice one. Congrats!

Well, my GTR finally arrived a couple of weeks ago after a long and agonizing wait. It was absolutley filthy when it first arrived

But with a wash, a few clay bars and elbow grease, followed by wax, she was looking pretty good…

Time to do a bit of work on the interior, the hand brake boot and shifter were well worn…

So I installed new ones from TopGaiters in the UK - $30 shipped! Big improvement.

And time to fix up that nasty drivers side pull/window switch panel, scratched and wrinkly and soft like solvent had been put on it, kept putting black marks on my pants…

So I pullled it out and cleaned it off and painted it satin black, Krylon plastic paint, much better!

Gonna do the shift surround and center stack as well, winter project.

Time to start cleaning up that nasty engine bay…

Whattya know! It’s white under there!

Spray Nine and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser ftw!
Also did my brakes today…AMS brake goodness from Vuk!

Sweet 2-piece fronts…also from Vuk @ AMS

Anybody heard of Racing Gear? From Tokico?

Got some bodywork to do on the front lip and bumper, they damn near ripped it off the car loading it onto the boat :frowning: - another winter project.

Did the timing belt, tensioners and water pump, found a new oil pump, looks OEM. Gonna go slow for the first year, maybe try to get some Z32 MAF’s and A’Pexi intake to replace the mushrooms o’ death. Minor fixup stuff over the winter, probably start more serious stuff next year, I just want to enjoy it for now!

Me like so far. Good acquisition.

Lookin good Colin, makes me wanna rethink waiting for an R34.

R34?! Come on man. Do you know how many guys are going to have R34s when they become legal? Be a cool kid and get an R33. No one is touching these for some stupid reason. IMO they are really nice and can look super awesome with some really nice wheels and a drop.

ya, but can they swallow the $50000 price tag? They go for over $100000 at the moment. Besides, other than the R32, the 34 is the only one I’ve ever really liked. Don’t get me wrong, the 33’s are sweet, but not my bag. Anyways, it’s still just a pipe dream, lol.

Lol, to each their own, I always liked the R33’s more than the R32’s, even tho they are bigger and a bit heavier. R34’s will be out of my price range for a bit - wifey made me promise not to buy another car for 5 years now lol.

Thanks for all the tips, help and advice over the last couple weeks James!

No problem, glad I could help.

So I was installing my stereo on Saturday and I found this stuffed up in the center stack.

Turns out it is an adjustable shock sensor, part of an alarm system (not working)…
So I went back in and started tracing wires…what started out as a simple stereo install ended up as…

Spaghetti! (and this AFTER I removed half the crap!)

Ended up taking all this out…

Ninja in a box!!!
Sure cleaned things up under there! Most of it appears to be the old alarm system. BONUS ITEM: Everything works! AND I have tunes!
