As a Republican I look at voting for Grisanti like being given the choice between a curable STD and AIDS. I don’t want either, but if my choices are only A or B…

F New York. Got back from the CMP in Ohio earlier. We are the absoloute laughing stock of the nation down there. A few other New Yorkers were waiting by the doors this morning. 3 guys made the trip from Orange county just to pick up ammo. My buddy and I picked up 2 Garands. An M1D Sniper rifle came home with me along with plenty of 30/06 and .30 carbine ammo. Then we filled up on $3.09 gas. Ohio > NY.
M1D Sniper rifle (with scope mount integrated into barrel) on right, my other Springfield M1 on left for comparison. Cant wait to pick up a mount and an M84 scope.
Correct. There are many affiliated clubs that cost like $25 to join to qualify. New York Rifle and Pistol is one of them. Also need to prove participation in a marksmanship related activity. If you are/were in the military all you need to do is be in one of these affiliated organizations. If you really want a rifle from them i STRONGLY suggest just making the 4 hr drive and picking one out in person. Having one shipped is “luck of the draw” and there are some real dogs there i wouldn’t want to be stuck with.
Dave, if you are lucky you can get a decent field grade Garand for $525. My buddy lucked out, his has a nice appearance with a bore in good condition. On the high end they have National Match and M1C snipers for $2500 - $3000. The M1D snipers start at $1200 and go up from there. Either way its an absolute STEAL. Even before the panic you couldn’t touch ANY normal run of the mill beat up M1 Garand for less than like $1000 at a gun show. I lucked out with the Sniper, it is believed that there are only a few thousand left in the world (low production and many were ordered destroyed by the gov for being “obsolete” in the early 90’s). All come with the CMP certificate of authenticity so if you ever wanted to sell down the road you can prove its origin.
In short, if you have any interest in an M1 Garand, move now.
I think that the Daily show piece was good. Enforce the current laws and regulate the commerce correctly. Do not add un-necessary laws that will only hinder lawful Americans. I’d like to think that the positive to come out of this is healthy discussion and debate. However the reality is that of just about any company, knee jerk reactions to problems rather than thoughtful proactive actions.
friend from Oklahoma was up here today, he told me his property taxes are $200 a year, gas is $2.90 a gallon there now and he open carries everyday.
FUCK NEW YORK
