I’ll be buying a few.

Texas? I’d get sick of sun and warmth year round. I wouldn’t know what to do without WNY’s solid 4 months of collective self-loathing to break up the year.

You spend 4 months inside in the summer when it’s 99 degrees at night, lol.

I’d still complain, no doubt. But I at least wouldn’t be low in vitamin d.

It’s really not that bad at least in Dallas doing stuff after 5pm

I lived in texas for 18 years, its a dry heat and more bearable then some hot and humid days up here. Once you live there a 60 degree day is sweater time and 50s is cold! Plenty of snow in the mountains, hell there is skiing a couple hours away from a desert that makes the skiing up here look like first day at the bunny hill.

I was going to say you get used to it. In the winter there are plenty of weeks in the 40s/50s that make you feel cold. Even snows sometimes, especially in hill country.

You can a killer house in the $250K range.

I wonder how many people are ACTUALLY going to be driven out of the state over a hobby that they participate in 1-2 hours a week?

For those that do, it was the final straw. Register now, confiscation later, criminals party.

that’s the argument, but not the reality.

It already happened once in NYC

1960s NYC area had gun registration in the early 1990s they used that list go collect guns that they decided were banned when the law changed.

And don’t kid yourself

This is how I feel after leaving for Colorado 2 years ago, but the winters here are so much more enjoyable than NY. It’s going to be ~50 today in Denver but I can be at the slops in less than an hour. Mountains > crappy hills

It’s funny Vermont and Virginia both had gun legislation that was pulled after the public flipped out.

Looks like NY might be going it alone

I hope as many people as possible leave NY, I will be leaving ASAP. We have but one way to vote, removing our tax revenue from the state. At the moment (before this goes Federal) we have a choice, let’s face it…we can’t overturn the commie status of NY. I’ll continue to go to rallies and events here but I am set on leaving this shitty state sooner than later.

The fact I can’t get a direct flight anywhere besides Boston and NYC make me angry

It’s the icing on the cake for many. We are gouged by taxation, for LESS freedom & choice. The state is overreaching, corrupt and too far gone…there’s a clear reason why so many migrate south from NY. The cycle is quite evident…high taxes>>>people move reducing the tax base>>>raise taxes to cover for lost tax revenue>>>people move reducing the tax base>>>raise taxes to cover for lost tax revenue>>>people move reducing the tax base. All while the government and public sector continues to grow and misappropriate what little money they have coming in & federal subsidies.

FU-NY

I really hate the money grab in this bill too.
Every 5 years more money to redo your pistol permit.
Every year you have to re-register your “assault” weapons. Why every year? Official paper work is going to happen if you sell it, since you have to go get a background check. Makes a paper trail anyway.

Eventually you will get taxed/fee’d out of your 2nd amendment rights because you won’t be able to afford to “legally” own your guns anymore.

This is a much larger issue than that.

for me this is icing on the cake, it’s kinda like this: taxes>cost of living>shitty laws>shitty weather>general decline of the area

Once you accept a “permit” for a right, you have given it up.
