well finally i got the new toy in, a rock river arms m-4 carbine. I’m planning on getting a bunch of shooting fans together for a weekend. So far its planned for the 5th and 6th of aug. I plan on going down to the place friday night, getting set up and drinking with the guys. Sat is going to be a day of shooting, rifle and two thrower trap/skeet. And then another night of drinking with the guns locked up. I have room for about 15 guys or so inside, and tons of camping room. The skys the limit on people, even if you guys don’t wana shoot, it should be a good time. The place is about 10 miles from angelica NY, and its about a 2 hour drive. If you want to come, its BYOB and if you have a gun bring it, but i ask that you have some knowledge of safe gun handling. I’m gonna bring some shotguns, the m-4 and the throwers with birds. depending on how many people want to come will determine how we work ammo and food. thats it for now, if your interested, post it up 
Very interested, actually camped in a camp site place with cabins about 15 mintues from angelica.
Will pay for Ammo/food/beverages. also can provide rides, since i can essentially be a DD

Not directed at you personally, but from what I have seen posted on this board I think I will pass on getting together with a bunch of you who I don’t know with loaded guns. Since my interest in guns is in increasing my personal safety, this seems inconsistent.
Yes there is a backstop for the rifle area. Safety is ALWAYS priority. Its not a huge firing line with 10 positions, its good for mabe 2 guys at any one time. There is a steel swinging reactive target, and we can set up other things that are fun when they explode ( shaving cream cans…) but only 2 guns on the line at a time, the rest can watch, sit around bs’ing or cook food, we need lots of food. we cannot shoot rifle and trap at the same time, the impact berm for the rifles is 10 foot bottom on the pond. But once we get to the trap area, we are gonna shoot one thrower for a bit, and those that are good enough can get some 2 thrower action. I’m a Army instructor that has gone to many ranges and taught alot of people to be safe. I’m going to have fun and to shoot guns, anyone that i think can’t do that will be eating hotdogs and bs’ing, with the guns in the big kids hands.

Its about an hour from arcade. I am not a pistol permit holder, so if you want to bring a pistol it would be good if you could find a permit holder to come also. it is on the top of a hill, very secluded. But the risk is your 
yeah owning an unregisterd pistol is stupid. it is just one more thing for liberals to bitch about. Of all the gun owners in the USA. like 99.9% of the crimes are by illegaly purchased firearms. Responsable gun owners are not the ones to worry about.
There is a nice shooting store abour 5 miles away, has ammo and birds, plus more toys, but i recomend going to the Buffalo Gun Center or another local place, cause he is a little higher priced, but its convenient.
I just want to restate the intention. I want this to be as safe as humanly possible, and as close to legal as we can get. It would be a great time to talk about cars and guns, and have some fun with out other toys besides cars. Its always great to have the experts show up, but if your new to the shooting sports, and want to learn the basics this is a good time to learn from some friends. All in all, its good beer, good food, good friends and piles of spent ammo.
sorry guys, I was out of town in oshkosh WI for the big air show. This is still on, at least i will be there, who ever shows up is a plus
