Cams snapping in half…That must be due to poor quality Eh, or could it be due to install error. Cams are very fragile Since they are hollow so it doesnt take much o snap them EI Timing belt or chain failure of some sort. You can drop a cam and if it hits the right way it will snap.
I have read alot about these cams and have never heard of anything on the Nissan forums saying them ran into problems with cams snapping.

If you read around honda-tech thier are actually a bunch of stories about the same problem with h22s.
http://www.coltcams.com/ they do CA regrinds. if you send in a pair of stock cams they can regrind a 270 degree cam with 8.8mm lift, which is the maximum stock valvetrain will safely handle. i think the cost is about $400US, but they’re a canadian company, so there’s no duty on the work.
