I just filed, didn’t bother with it, next year I’ll have some to claim.
From what I can see you can only claim the tuition minus any scholarships you received for a grad student…
Luckily though there is a $400 making work pay credit for most taxpayers this year… I haven’t done any individual tax returns yet besides mine but most people that did not receive the $250 during the year are eligible…

What is this credit you speak of?
nah it’s cool, I got the making work pay credit, but as I understood it was a credit for 2010 income taxes, and that it’s already been going into our checks via being taxed less as part of the stimulation package?
I got about what I usually get, a bit more perhaps.
