Sooo yea drove the jeep for the first time in months because it has been Fed up. Anyways got pulled over 2 mins from my house. Cop gave me a ticket, its from 9/10 so wayyy over due i dont mind paying it one way or another i was wrong what ever shitty circumstances but what ever. Ive heard some where that the fine increases by month that its over, no idea if this is true i just dont want to plead guilty and get a $500 fine or something stupid. Also any idea off hand what it would cost to just plead guilty if the monthly thing isnt true im guessing $120(i think i remember getting the same tick in my car a few years ago) or what ever not sure if its worth my time to try going to court with it after being inspected or what.
is it a “fix it” ticket? just get it inspected within 24hrs and in most cases the courts will drop the case. call the town on monday and find out.

Go get a sticker on it, plea Not Guilty, go to court, explain: Yeah I fuct up, It was expired, It’s been off the road, and repairs were made or whatever you did to get it ready for service and throw yourself at their mercy. It was expired, you got a ticket, they want your monies…
Yea i know thats kind of the plan ill be out of town the time of court so ill have to reschedule and shit idk if i even feel like dealing with it might just plead guilty and get it over with, just would like to get a heads up on how much.
I got one a few months back. Went to court, and the Assistant DA wasn’t there so I was told I would have to come back the following month. That put me in the same boat as you since I couldn’t make that date. I ended up writing a letter with my plea of not guilty in hopes that they would be generous. We’ll see I guess, I have yet to hear back. If I get anything soon I’ll post it up but I doubt I will see anything in the mail for another month at least. I’ll probably get screwed pretty hard at the end of all of this but it was my fault :ham:
For me time is money. It’s not worth sitting in court to find out. I would just mail it in guilty and pay whatever fine they assess.
I got an inspection sticker ticket in fucking Nazi ville Eden in my GTO back in I want to say 08. The sticker was from when I bought the car in 06. Plead guilty and payed $150 after they assessed the fine plus the NYS surcharge.

Got a letter in the mail today and it appears the ADA has dismissed my charges. I’m actually quite surprised this worked. However the court gave me practically no time to return the form to accept this decision so I’m gonna call on Monday to see if I’ll have to actually go down there or if they will take my response in the mail a few days late.
To the OP, if you haven’t acted on this yet maybe it’s worth a shot. I got my car inspected just days after the ticket was issued, wrote a letter to the ADA explaining my appeal, and included a copy of the inspection receipt along with an abstract of my driving record from the DMV (as per his request). Unless I’m missing something I don’t think I’ll have any fees to pay.
