Yes.
Thanks for the help Rocket!
I’m clearly a n00b.
TPM’s schedule is out, lots of NYST events. Enjoy!
Looks like TPM it’ll be. I just need money now. X_X
Can’t wait.
Tow vehicle is acquired, not just need a hitch. Trailer is done. :ahh
How big is the trailer? I’m still trying to figure out how I’ll be getting my bike there x_x
Can squeeze 3 bikes
So I just got a job today for NYS.
This puts a whole new spin on track days this year!
where? or do you mean you got a gig at NYS
Working for New York State Teachers Retirement System as a clerk.
Gonna be bringing in about 1,000$ more per month than I currently am … and have Sat+Sun off … which means this is gonna be one hell of a summer
Already finished off buying all my track gear. Gonna look into getting a hitch put on my car and pick up a little trailer as well.
Good for you man!
Thanks Rocket! Now we’ll actually meet up this year and I’ll put a lot more than 2,000 measly miles on my bike.
Is it Spring yet?
Looks like I’m hitching a ride with you. I’ll bring a laptop and tent so we look important.:lol
Yeah man, I think it may just be cheaper to just rent a UHAUL low-pro trailer for the weekends? If I find something cheap this year, I’ll definitely pick it up so keep you’re eye out. Probably gonna cost like $200 or so to get a hitch on the car.
Now it’s time to join TPM! :excited
I’d look into track fairings, but trying to actually keep “fun” expenses down so I can pay off all my debt I have as soon as possible. Track days may have other plans for such ideas.
I signed up for Inside Pass through TPM.
Chazz, are you signing up as well? I’d assume this is your first year signing up, if so, can you put my name in the referral box? (Kyle Ambesi)
Counting down the days! lol
I’m still not sure who to sign up with.
I hope to be doing more than 4.
why not use the fairings you got from disco?
When I sign up I’ll use your name.:beer
TTD’s was out for me being that they’re only holding 2, 2 day events @ NYST. (I really dont want to travel to NJMP)
I don’t know of any others besides TPM, but being my first year doing track days, I’ve heard good things about TPM, so I figured, what the hell, give em’ a shot.
I plan on doing at least 4 track days this year. But still, Inside Pass made more sense @ $75 + $190 a track day rather than $300 + $150 a track day. If I do 5 or 6, then I should’ve went with Full Throttle, but, I don’t know what the future holds so, f00k it. :lol
I sold that crap a long time ago. It never completely fit right (Probably because it was downed a few times) and I had to use zipties to keep the bottom from rubbing against the front tire. I actually traded them for Renthal clip-ons, but then sold the clip-ons not thinking I was gonna be able to keep the bike.
Either this year or next year I think I’m gonna pick up a cheap track bike. Maybe like an 03 R6 or something. Or, just get some Armour Bodies for the current R6 and have it do double duty. For now though, just gonna use the Rossi fairings on the track to see how I like the track. After my first track day will determine how much cash I’m dropping. :lol
I see… Kiss your cash goodbye now then :lmao
I want a set of armor bodies too, could buy a set now. Just don’t wan to cleanout my account. :nono
Some info on the current status of the track. If you are planning on hitting the track this will be good info. No garage kind of sucks but I am used to not pitting in a garage, but no power really blows. Still trying to decide if I should drive home and sleep or camp out next week. I guess the weather will a major factor too. Just so glad that the track is so close to home…:giggle
I am sure things will be 100% as time goes.
AMENITIES:
Being a new track facility, it will take a few years for the track owners to get everything sorted out as far as amenities.Right now, there are bathrooms and showers available, but no electric.
There are no garages, so you will pit on an open lot. Bring a canopy if you have one, but be sure to have a way to secure it.
CAMPING:
Camping is allowed and the price is $20 per event. Our trackdays are on Sunday and Monday so most people will be camping on Saturday and Sunday. The price is the same whether you camp one night or two.
