NYSpeed I need YOUR wisdom! SEARCH FOR A NEW CAR!

130k is nothing if they were taken care of. my civic has 270k on it. dont buy on impulse. e46’s need to be taken care of. but really i doubt the engine will just blow up, you may get hit with maintenance, but every car needs that. they arent that expensive to maintain if you can diy.

to get a low mileage bmw you need like 14k+

If well maintained 130 k isn’t bad. On E46fanatics now:

2003 E46 325i 91K mi $10.5K
2003 325i 4 door sport package, dark grey metallic, 5 speed man., sunroof delete.
Well maintained, no accidents, 93K, second owner, garage kept.
Cooling system rebuild at 81K.
Rear brakes at 81k.
Synthetic driveline fluids at 81K.
Mounted Pilot Alpines on 16" Mille Miglia wheels, good tread.
New HTR+'s on factory 17" wheels.
Will need front brakes w/i 10k (replaced by dealer @ 50K).
There are a few minor paint nicks that are too small to show up in photos except for a small scrape on the driver side rear view mirror (BMW dealer est. to fix $152, will schedule this week). Overall quite nice outside.
Very nice inside with black leatherette. Never smoked in.
Will post photos in the next few days.
PRICE DROP - $10K

Im sure he’d do 9.5

i would never DD an $8K STI either, that thing would be a big pile of shit :stuck_out_tongue:

stick it out with the blazer until winter is over…unless something really sweet falls into your lap.

hahahaha

That’s my plan for now, but yeah if something comes up, I think I’ll jump on it lol.

no worries with problems, and it will teach you to keep a car, plus when the lease is up and you’re attached to your car you can probably buy it out since you will be further along in your life

plus u will know whats into it, you never know with used cars, even if they have records

dont buy a 130k bmw for the sake of having a bmw

I won’t lease a car. High payments, insurance for sake of not even owning a car? Naw.

I’m 20, I have school to pay for above anything else. Not a car. The 8-9k I would spend on a car is within my budget and going over it would be financially ridiculous for me.

So u spend 9k on a Bmw with 130k on it, what happens when u have to replace the timing belt, the water bump, what happens if something with the suspension goes?

$,$$$

Do u have 9k pocket cash? U Could advance your payments for a year and get a 750 a month worth car, 2 years for 375 a month or 250 a month for 3 years and never have to worry about Maintenance

+1

which bmw of agy2k2 are you looking at? the silver or maroon one? get us a pic of the interior of the silver one, maybe it has the sport option.

have you looked into the price? the prices arent much more than any other car, only paying someone to do it costs a lot.

I usually do my own work, I hate spending money on labor.

for 8-9k i would get whatever the newest lowest mileage civic is you can find in manual so you mildly enjoy it without getting sucked into a money pit.

8-9k is just not really enough cash for a fun daily driver that’s not going to be a headache and a half…

maybe an rsx-s?

would have to be 100k miles tho… still reliable and pretty much maitenence free

You’re getting there, but it’s actually maintenance.

Naw, I may be only 20, but I don’t want to look like some high school kid driving around.

u didnt quote it the one time i did spell it right, asshole

You’re not your job. You’re not how much money you have in the bank. You’re not the car you drive. You’re not the contents of your wallet. You’re not your fucking khakis. You’re the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world

meh idk, i like the styling and interior of an rsx type s :gotme: still more reliable than a bmw, plus u has vtekz!

guess im just a honda humper

I understand, I just would rather not get into something that (and please guys don’t take this the wrong way) “juvenile”.

I already have a toy, so this car only needs to be fun to drive, reliable and relatively cheap.

I just don’t like driving my truck. I feel like I need to get married and have 3 kids to justify having it.
