Dear 8lb 6oz baby jesus, glad you’re ok, Paulo. All i can think of is the guy who hit you will be paying for your new bike or to repair your bike.
Even though it sucked but when I got in my accident it was a pleasant feeling knowing that I was going to effectively fuck over the guy that cut me off, and I did. He bought me a new bike/gear and will pay premium on his insurance for a while
If you find out the bike is actually messed after you get it checked out lmk. I’ll talk to my uncle (the lawyer one that took my case) and see if he can help ya out, he deals with most insurance companies
It wasn’t entirely his fault.
Here’s what happened:
I was coming down Church St downtown about to make the hard left onto the skyway and cars coming the other direction crowded the intersection like a bunch of fucking retards. I start to squeeze through a couple cars while a car ahead of me turns left into Adam’s Mark. I figure since he’s going so can I and start to roll through but the guy who hit me was coming down the clear lane immediately after the car ahead of me clear it. He had to have been going at least 45, slammed his brakes and hit the front of my bike. Bike never went down. It spun a bit and I leaned it against his car.
Damage isn’t terrible from what I can tell yet. I have to make sure it’s straight before I ride extensively again. His front bumper hit my tire first so that’s what took most of the hit which is good. I left a couple good scratches on his car and a couple dents. Luckily he said his lease was ending in 4 days, and they already inspected the car so he didn’t care about that at all.
Oh well. I’m going to take a few days off from riding. I feel like I’m pushing my luck lately. lol
