That’s why it helps to work at a place with a million dollar powder coating department. I just prep, plug the threaded holes, and buy donuts for the 2nd shift. I even get samples for free from our suppliers haha. So when I finished welding my exhaust back together, I had them put a high temp black rated for 2000 degrees on there.

I still need to do my triple tree, both wheels, and rear sprocket the same color, and i was just told by a certain powdercoater that itll be 3ish weeks before i get them back if i decide to take them there. So now im trying to find someone to get them done quicker, i MIGHT have found someone but im waiting to hear back tonight
dayum. You got more than me done. I had my rearsets, passenger pegs, swingarm done with a matte black. I painted the forks, and the links under the swing arm. Also went -1/+2 with vortex sprockets and an RK 520 chain and then made my own exhaust.
Once I get time, I’ll get good pics of everything together, and make a thread.

Actually, how did you do your forks? Pretty much what i did with the 636 is powdercoat everything that was gunmetal/silver/gold and changed it to black giving it a 100% better look imho so now its pretty much black and green throughout the entire bike. But the only thing that is bothering me are the forks because theyre gold and i want to paint them black. I was hesitant due to the grooves in them and i didn’t want them to look like shit…
But other than all that powdercoating i had done i just bought a pipe, flush mounts, integrated tail, windsheild, and pilot powers. I was thinking about doing a chain/sprocket setup but i might wait until the winter along with a few other goodies i have in mind

word. proper prep and take your time. Mine came out fine. And should hold up with as many coats as I put on it.
