hi i am not sure if this is in the right section or not, any way…i own a 95 s14, i took it to fill up gas the other day from the esso, when i was finished and ready to go othe road the car wont start. its got power and everything, so i called a bunch of freinds and we got it start by pushing it however when turn it off its wont start. the next day i took it to a mechanic to check it out, he put a new starter but it still didn’t work, then he started saying that the there is no power reaching the starter and he wasn’t able to fix it in the end can anyone help fix it i never had any problem with this car…if you ever had somethifn like this or know what might be wrong with it please let me know
If you hold down the gas and crank it does it turn over after a few seconds?
its doesn’t even crank
igniton switch might be faulty
i don’t think so cuz i get power to everything else
What kind of mechanic puts in a starter without testing for power first?
^ ya really. Then gives up afterwards… some mechanic.
Very weird how it happened randomly, when you werent even working on it…
do guys know a good mechanic and cheap in the brampton mississauga area?
try putting in a new battery, there’s a chance u don’t have enuff volts to fire it up.
Very high chance it’ll start running again.
ya you might have power to everything else but that part o the switch that gives crank to the start can be bad, take the plastic off from around the coloum there are two starter wires one black with yellow tracer and black with white tracer in the crank position there should be 12 volts to both, start from there
the battary is less than a 2 years old, i even tried postinf it but still nothing
i ment to say boosting
you should just trace the battery wires to see if there’s a short somewhere along the line.
lol dude - your alternator prolly fucked off and now it doesnt charge the battery up so you dont have any power. I’d put money on that being the issue. BTW, that mechanic is a retard.
i’m with this guy.
and your mechanic is an idiot.
check for power at the switch in the crank position, if there is power there then check it at the starter.
go from there, post up the results.
hey Spanks you where right that was the problem car is fixed and working great thanx alot , and thanx all for you help,
no prob bud
clean your battery posts, my battery was 3 weeks old and the posts were dirty, i had power to everything but it wouldnt crank the engine.
