O dear...old people = the suck

It is this “I hate all old people” attitude that makes things like this happen. People nowadays have no respect for the elderly. Not to long ago here, and currently in many other cultures, the elderly are respected and well taken care of by their children and relatives. I.E. taking them places to get chores done, helping them around the house, etc. But now almost everyone does not want to deal with them sending them to retirement homes, or sort of moving away and practically ignoring their existence. Leaving them on their own to fend for their selves, when in many cases the elderly are not able to do so safely as shown in this video.

there’s something to be said for that (in many countries family members FIGHT over who gets to have the honor of caring for grandparents)…

BUT IT DOESN’T EXCUSE THE FACT THAT THEY SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING IF THEY ARE SENILE / BLIND.
