I’m finally booting the CAT on the 180sx, but to do so I’ll need to relocate the O2 sensor.
My CAT errr…fell off…
Any suggestions as to the easier way of relocating this sensor without creating problems?

you don’t need to relocate the o2 sensor on a 180 as it is after the turbo but before the cat.
You are probably thinking of the CAT temp sensor. just cut the wires and throw it out.
That is correct i just went through all this with my mechanic as well as all the experts on NICO. Just cut the wires toss the cat, its all good.
I just cut the sensor off and shoved the wire back in the hole. No issues.

that shop should know only obd2 vehicles have secondary o2 sensors.
that o2 in the cat is a ex gas high temp sensor. If you have high ex temp you get a light on in your cluster. Id keep it. Takes 2 seconds to weld a nut to your test pipe.
the exhaust temp isn’t gonna get that hot there if you’re running a test pipe. the light should never go on unless you have a cat thats clogged.
throw that thing out
