Actually I think we’re both wrong. I drove past the airport on the way home and it looked to me very much like a C5 Galaxy.
Why didn’t they fly him into the Niagara Falls Airbase and head to Buffalo instead of cause the congestion in Cheektowaga?
Because causing the congestion all the way from NF to Buffalo would have been worse?
Ok, it’s a military airbase. More secure with military patrol and with less passenger flights. NF isn’t nearly as congested as Cheektowaga and 33.
The delays at the airport were minimal and as an aiport it’s already very secure. The president is at the highest risk traveling by car which I’m sure is why they fly in as close as possible. Not to mention there is really only one viable route between NF and the venue, something the secret service aren’t big on. Armored limo or not if you know the route you could plan an attack.
I saw a blue Suburban with Homeland Security vinyl’s on it, and roof lights, almost thought it was a trooper. This was around 6:00pm on the 90 going west. Traffic was the suck today!
