ODB1 is still a visual inspection. so if it doesnt look like you have a cat they are supposed to fail you.

So if it is just a straight pipe, and not one that’s flared in the middle, then you should consider a trip to the junkyard and weld a heat sheild around the pipe.

How does that work? The evo is OBD II and should be subject to running cats.

the same way i have 0 emissions stuff on my car and i pass with no problems.

That and I think cars that are new in the past two years d on’t have to get hooked up i don’t think.

if u just holow out the current converter and dont put a tube in the middle it will sound like ass and floor poorly

find someone who will look the other way as far as the cat goes…or wrap some extra metal around it so it looks like you have a cat and hope the inspector doesnt tap it lol
