Yeah it was fun to watch the pens the other night. But it does put them in an interesting scenario. I mean the last few games could really shake up the eastern conf. If Carolina loses and Washington Wins that means the Caps move up to 3rd place and Carolina moves back to 8th or 9th. Then if Phili loses its last 2 games or maybe even one, they will miss the playoffs. Its a real tight race. A ton of huge games tonight. I would sit TK or AH for Roberts any day in the playoffs as long as he is in Game Shape. I think he needs to play this last game. And I hope we play the bruins so I can see them in Boston and I hope the Caps miss the playoffs and Malkin gets MVP. If the caps make it Alex O will get it.
Ovechkin is getting MVP no matter what…he is a man amongst boys now…65 goals…but I do think if things go our way either Crosby or Malkin will win the Conn Smythe this year.
It is almost impossible, but seeing his performance this year, I think Ovechkin has a legit chance of hitting Gretzky’s 92…

their track record in the past 20 games is horrendous , without alfredson heatly and spezza play like two lost retards on the ice… as far as goaltending goes gerber has been in a slump but who knows…
I dont see this as being a real hard first series but its the play offs who knows…
Philly vs the caps should be a interesting play off series… seeing as caps came back from such a slump into the playoffs…
Who cares what this he says to motivate his guys. He has a history of talking trash on the other team. But this will still be a hard series…I could care less how they have been playing at the end of this season. This team plays well in the playoffs and I am sure they will this year too. I think this is going to ba very good first test to see if we have what it takes this year. We are a lot different team than we were last year…now it’s time to see if we can man up in the playoffs. I wouldnt be shocked if this series goes 6-7 games.
i dont think itll be an easy series. it def helps that alfredsen, kelly and fisher is out tho. but i wouldnt go into the playoffs with the attitude that we are smoking ppl. they humiliated us and went deep into the playoffs last year and led the conference for a majority of this season, they are still a dangerous team. i think we’ll win but i wouldnt be surprised to see it go 6-7 aswell.

Ottowa is not really playing like a NHL team right now… they sure do have calibur players they just cant bring it together… but it is the playoffs anything goes right now.
