So you can only be a fan of the sabres if you approve of their play and you can’t show your displeasure of the way they have been playing? I’d rather our fans show up and boo, than to not show up at all which is what happens to most other mediocre teams in this league.

i agree with you. at the bills games last year my friend was always yelling after bad plays and stupid penaltys. every fan around us complained about him bitching and yelling about the poor performance of the bills. well wtf do u want us to do cheer for bad plays?

Nothing wrong with showing displeasure when your team is sucking. I know we won’t make the playoffs and we’ll probably loose most of our games but I will still tune in to watch.

PS: Now if they don’t make the playoffs in like 10 years and become a joke like a certain local football team then maybe I will no longer be a fan.
we need miller back… i cant deal with lalimes amazing record of 5 wins 14-15 loses? idc what anyone says , your not going to win a game with a shitty goalie whos letting in 3-6 goals a night.
Miller’s practicing…and he seemed to be getting around just fine in a big busy crowd when i saw him last sunday at Darcy McGee’s, which i don’t approve of since he’s injured, and being around a big drunken crowd is just irresponsible when he’s making millions to be healthy/healed…but he should be back soon.
Side note: Connolly was at Darcy’s too…just what we need is some drunk Toronto fan at the bar to punch Tim in the head and kick Ryan in the ankle…
As much as that would suck…I’d laugh.
At this point it would be better if they bomb…so more shake ups happen during the off season…
haha why don’t you check your facts before you throw that out there… they JUST had in the paper the other day the goaltending stats since miller went down, the save percentage was like .920 and the GAA was right around 2-2.5 GOALTENDING IS NOT THIS TEAMS PROBLEM

Miller is not that great of a goaltender. Realistically, in order to win with Miller you have to score 4 goals.
Millers been pretty good this year. Also hard to keep your GAA down with a team that can’t clear the zone…
Goaltending has really not been our problem. We need to not be so hemmed in our zone and we need our forwards to do their fucking job.

So Im a pretty loyal fan here… realistically and without everyone getting up in arms, mathematically speaking is there still hope for the playoffs?
Of course it’s still mathematically possible, there are 10 games left. That’s 20 possible points and the Sabres are in 10th trailing the 8th place team by 5 points.
Realistically, the way they’re playing, 5 points is a serious deficit to overcome. Just winning isn’t enough because you need the teams you’re chasing to lose.
Then you have the teams just below you like Ottawa, who have won 5 straight, and are now only 2 points back who could easily be in front of you as well.
