like paille (i think it was him anyway) did on the orpik hit? nice embellishment to help draw the penalty. i just find it funny how much hatred there is towards cros. people should just be able to appreciate how good he is. yea he whined a lot during his rookie year but hes gotten a lot better since. and im not saying that just because hes on my team, when i saw roy toe drag letang i actually applauded, instead of being bitter that he schooled one of my favorite defensemen, that was a sick move. half the fun of the game is being able to appreciate how much skill these guys have now, most fans don’t even realize it. (not directed at any specific fan base, just in general) watching the anderychuck clips at the beginning of the game, the NHL used to be terrible, especially the goal tending, the top 20 guys in the league now probably would have put up the same numbers as gretzky or better in that era.

and yea, players now are more “refined” than that of 15-20 yrs ago, theres alot more money being pumped into it (equipment/training facilities yada yada) though compared to back then too, i’m sure it goes hand in hand in some regard. just like football etc, players are getting bigger/stronger/faster etc

wow we honestly just lost to nashville , the worst fucking team in the nhl. Unreal. I hate to be such a downer, but there is really no way that we will be able to make the play offs by losing to the worst teams in the league. We have more talent than them in every single aspect of hockey, there is no reason as to why we should have lost. Terrible loss. Im starting to wonder if all these guys care about is the excessive amount of money they make compared to other teams in the league. Fuckin terrible.

meh. they don’t play good defense, they have never played good defense EVER. They need a super hero goalie again, they cant have another run of the mill goalie like they have now. They would have been better with Biron, yes but he isnt the anwser. they need a big time big name goalie. Someone call patric roy and offer him vanek money, but in all seriousness, they need a big name goalie who can make unbelieveable saves and help salvage some of thier games or they are on route to a repeat of last year.
