bitching about a ref blowing a whistle is pointless. you don’t have the ref’s view. it’s his JOB to blow it dead if he loses sight. Quick whistles keep fights and shit from happening also. How often does a goalie complain about a quick whistle? I know i never did much.

As much as id love to see that happen with our current roster, I dont think its gonna happen unless we produce a hell of a trade.
Were just not finishing offensively, the chemistry is way off and our defense is a joke as usual. Teppo is getting slower and slower every game even tho I still love how smart he is on the ice. sekera trys his ass off every game but seems to be the only one on the ice trying. Lydman has been solid all year and i cant really complain, hes the only one that hits besides kaleta. Spacek has been off to a terrible start. tallinder was terrible but is improving.
We really could of used kaleta last night, we just dont do good again teams that hit consistently, mainly because we dont. Our whole team was a bunch of pussies last night, afraid to take a hit and make a play because florida was hitting us every chance they got, something we need to learn how to do. Hitting teams like boston and montreal seem to have a field day with us every time because of that, they know we dont hit and never have, and that if they hit us they will succeed in some way or another
I personally think we need one more solid 30 + goal scorer besides vanek so bring some spark to our stagnant offense lately, and maybe a big bodied forchecking forward and another play maker wouldnt be bad either while glass connolly is gluing himself back together once again . and we need a young hard hitting smart defensive defensemen or two.

I think Pominville and Roy have been huge disappointments so far this year. If even 1 of these guys can step up to the plate, the team instantly looks like a hell of a lot better.

exactly. roy was like our top point scorer last season, hes just not finishing and we really could use the help right now.
once again pominville has the opportunity to score in my opinion 40+ goals a season but misses that net more than anyone ive ever seen. he has perfect opportunities and guns it wide or high every time.
they are easilly the two most biggest disappointments besides connolly getting hurt 50 times already this season.
God I remember back in the day when the florida panthers and the nashville predators were an easy 5-2 or 4-1 win for the sabres. Its just too frustrating to comprehend right now. When we lose to an elite team theres a good reason for it and its somewhat understandable. When we lose to the bottom of the league, its 10 times more aggravating.
Yeah, I think some moves are in order. The team needs a shakeup. Confidence in themselves is near an all-time low, IMHO.
It seems like every team they play is successfully keeping them to the outside; they’ve had very few clear shots from the slot.
They haven’t been able to generate turnovers, either. With just about every team in the league tightening down defensively, they just can’t do it anymore. That’s the kind of personnel they have, not the grinders that Anaheim had when they won the cup, or even Boston from this season. They need to make some moves, but if Regier’s willing to do that now, I have my doubts.

The sabres aren’t playing bad hockey. They aren’t getting bounces. They are outhustling, shooting, chancing every team, yet continue to lose. I point the blame at two things - goaltending is not clutch, and we need to move players that aren’t contributing.
Sure, this doesn’t mean throw in the towel and redo everything that we have here. This means get rid of:
connolly
afinogenov
other dead weight
Bring up mancari, gerbe, and kennedy.
Then ride out the rest of the season.
