We look really flat in the 2nd and most of the 3rd. They just outworked us. We will be better next time around in our barn. It doesn’t help that Lalime let in two soft goals.
First period was great and we were all over them in every way. I loved the aggression we had tonight tho, we looked like a totally different team than we have been in a while, and that was consistent throughout the entire game.We made practically the biggest and most aggressive team in the league look like pussy’s.Kaleta had a great game with the hits and being infront of the net.
That being said they came back and out skated us the 2nd and 3rd for those entire periods. The Vanek line couldn’t get a pass clean to each other or a solid chance after the first and that really hurt our offensive game.
I know that we are strapped for def but there has to be someone from Portland worth trying out and replaceing Butler.
