Official 08-09 Penguins Thread

yikes.
how did i get brought into this… in the penguins thread!!! :itr41::itr41::itr41:
i was criticizing the analysis (which was terrible), not his coaching.
we dont have talented players… we have talented coaches! :blue:

but since you brought it up, we have 9 wins… not 7. and our 1 loss is under review by the league because there goal in overtime was junk.

my analysis was not terrible! we have guys that have one good game then do nothing for like 10. we needs someone other then crosby, malkin to be consistant.

and your right bruce and the head coach are talented coaches…

Keep to PM’s guys…nobody gives a sh it about your teams…this is a Pens thread. :stick:

fixed. It’s all Chad’s fault for bringing it up in the first place.

hey my last post was about the pens!! damn you

:finger:

no consistency!!! getting our asses kicked

not immediately pertaining to this game, yet. But is anyone else extremely sick of seeing goals scored because dany sabourin is so far out of position it’s unbelieveable? honestly i think he is in the top 3 worst goaltenders in the nhl, he’s reflexes are shi t, his coordination is shi t, and his awareness is complete shi t. At what point does a goaltending coach tell a goalie he is supposed to leave the net to chase the opposition around the net? Never. in that instance you go post to post and cover for a wraparound attempt or a centering pass. These things considered they CONTINUALLY play him. Two years in a row we’ve proved our minor league goaltenders are more hungry and better skilled than him. If there’s one thing to do maybe give hal gill and sabourin away in a package deal. not a trade, just give them the fuc k away.

No one believes me yet, but I still maintain the Pens should sign Dan Hertzberg.

haha

and I would just like to say when they interviewed crosby he said " there is no consistency, we need to be more consistent"

:naughty:

wow http://thefourthperiod.com/news/pit081214.html

I saw TB play last week in Boston. They did not look good. He didn’t look to happy to be playing there. As a matter of a fact no one looked happy to be in Tampa Bay. With was has happened there I couldnt blame them all.

Yeah I heard it’s a mess in TB… which is the problem when you go out and start spending money on names without being concerned if there is going to be chemistry in the locker room.

Consider what the Pens were like in the year after the lockout.

It would be awesome to see St. Louis here. He puts up Hossa-like numbers, is making less than Malone ($5.25mil/yr) and his contract runs until 2010-11.

And on a side note – http://postgazette.com/pg/08350/935312-100.stm

Bull**** corporate names, I hate it.

what do the lighting need a top young player for? they have ryan malone!
he’s racked up 12 points this year… the same as their “savior” steven stamkos.

theyre a joke. i feel bad for staal if he gets dumped off on them.

I hope staal doesnt go. ( I have his jersey) !!! I like him though, even though he doesnt put up big numbers, hes a good center and helpful on the pk, and I like him on the pp in front of the net. I wish he started hitting more, hes a big boy and could crush people if he wanted too…

And we have some young players on the baby pens TB can have.

as for the name of the new rink… ahh I dont really care, as long as the pens stay here!

not sure if this is old news to you guys or not, but i find this to be pure gold…

thank god, i don’t think i could stand to see sabourin between the pipes for another horrifying second

Mad Max signed a 2 year deal…sweet! Not sure about the details yet.
