Oh how I wish Goose hadn’t gotten the double minor + misconduct. Would have loved to see him out there in the third.
I loved that brawl last night. That’s how you show a team whats up.
Fair play in my thoughts to what happened. Its done and over and noone should be getting suspensions or fines. Ship happens, the goalie got hit becaue a player charged hard to the net and didnt give up on the play. Props to Tootoo for playing hard, and props to Miller and the Sabres for doing something in return to the collision. Its done and over and now time for the next game.

Should have done that the first time. I thought Tootoo had less of a chance to avoid collision than Lucic. Oh well, what’s done is done and hopefully open goalie season is closed for good.

Maybe 4 minutes with 2 minutes handed to goose for Roughing. Then called it a day! Its hockey and collisions will happen. Such a shitty call. And yes, I am a Sabres fan. I just like hockey for what it was, not what it is now.
Leino has a hearing today for an elbow thrown last night. Hope he gets a solid suspension for it, the stupid fuck only shoots the puck when he has a wide open net like last night. You may as well bring back Afinogenov with the way he holds on to the puck so much and then makes nothing of it.

The Sabres seem to be proving something the Rangers have proven year after year. Money can’t buy a cup unless you have chemistry and good coaching. Right now the Sabres have neither.
It also doesn’t help half of our team is from our farm team. Not that I’m displacing blame from some horrible play as of lately.
I really don’t think they are playing that bad right now. They have lost a few games because they haven’t been scoring goals. The chemistry just isn’t there because of all the new guys and our goalie situation has been shaken up. They will get it together and get on a hot streak again.
Get it together? How many times do we have to go up and be ontop, then toss the damn game away.
I say trade Miller while we can still get someone/something decent for him. Lets work on a new goalie. Miller hasnt been doing it for us and you guys all can see it. Sorry to the people that love him… hes over rated. I just think we come out strong, but fall apart way to fast after the first period. Also, maybe we should try a new coach and see where that goes… could make a difference. We have had the same guy for how long now and its not working out fully to what we should be doing. Maybe a change would be for the better.
Wrong. There is no better goalie right now than Miller. Our defense is the problem, but the easiest solution is to put on the goalie. Everybody is jumping on the lets trade miller, lets fire Ruff/Darcy, let’s sell the team again, let’s boycott games…none of this will do anything.
The team is not playing in sync and it is not the owners fault, it is not the goalies fault, it is not the coaches fault. It is on the players who aren’t producing and the defenseman who aren’t protecting their area of the ice to prevent the goalie from seeing so many #'s of shots per night. The formula is very simple. More shots= more goals. That goes for opposing teams too. The more shots Ryan Miller sees each night, the more goals against him he will have.
LOL… fans have been pitching the whole, “they’re just not motivated, not clicking, not having the right chemistry” for the last 5 years. Guess who’s job it is to make that happen… THE COACH.
Well your right on that part. I didn’t mean to say it isn’t the coaches fault, but ultimately it is up to the players. You can’t just trade away one of our most experienced players and one that everyone looks up to just to prove a point. I do agree that Ruff has to find a way to get these guys motivated and score some more goals. It’s apparent by our goals for vs. goals against that there is a problem and not with the goalie.
