The fans vote online at the NFL’s official site. There are also replacements that go to the game should any selected player be unable to play due to injuries. Prior to 1995, only the coaches and the players made Pro Bowl selections.

Meh, I think it’s good for entertainment value. Not necessarily the game, that’s obv a joke. But it makes for a good weekend of football, and gives the players reward by sending them to Hawaii for it.

probowl voting is a popularity contest… peters has done nothing this year to warrant that selection. just look at favre… compare his stats to rivers this year, and rivers didn’t make it. also the nfc team is way better than the afc team just from looking at the rosters
