Additionally, looking back at that hit by Campbell, that hit was a perfect example of a player stepping up and going beyond their usual role to push the team. Something that has been completely nonexistent so far this year. I haven’t even seen a glimmer of it.

That’s how Boston wins, that is the only way I think they can win, is out muscle teams. They’ve got plenty of grit throughout their 4 lines, not a whole lot of speed and they don’t really have any outstanding goal scorers.

Who Ellis? Gaustad? they are usually the ones I see skating and playing consistent every game. Grier actually was skating hard, shooting pucks, and throwing hits last night. Most nights however, he’s dogging it and just going through the motions. If you’re going by what Lindy says then eveyrone on the team deserves a gold star, and an A for effort. Please, I don’t think any coach (Brian Burke excluded) is going to call out a player. Grier has the potential to be a top power forward I think, he just isn’t playing his best game. Same can be said for Vanek prior to his injury in the regular season. If the puck wasn’t on his stick he was barely moving and was basically there to dump it in. When he came back, he was skating full blast, throwing some checks, and shooting and stickhandling a lot better.

I think buffalo would have a alot better chance against any other team then boston.The other east teams don’t play nearly as gritty as them.
This season hes said "(x player) needs to step up his game.“Or we need more out of him.”
Hes also benched players several times this year.I cant think of a better way to call someone out then to bench them.
Sabres call up Cody McCormic. This might have a big impact on the series. You KNOW he was brought up with the sole intention of enforcing / fighting.

I just hate the fact that he embellishes some hits and the refs know he’s a phenomenal player and then most of the time will assume a penalty needs to be assessed based on Crosby’s reaction.
