Bandwagoners.
But srsly, Ennis looked like the only one hustling tonight.
Good effort tonight actually. Looked like Connolly was closer to form tonight. He made a few decent plays that created chances.
I liked the intensity that McCormick brought to the table. The interference penalty that he was called on was a bullshit call. The Bruins defenseman was the one who took out Rask, and McCormick for that matter. Unfortunately that led to Boston’s first goal.
A few things are killing us…
-Different year, same old story. The nonexistent power play. We’d almost be better off waiving the penalty and continue playing 5v5.
-Lack of physical play in games 1-3. Today was much improved, but too little too late
-Lack of offensive pressure from the point. I’ve noticed that on the blue line, we have very little in the way of offensive threat.
-At times stellar play from Rask (that diving save comes to mind)
Sabres will win game 5, but the Bruins will wrap it up in game six.
Not like any eastern conference series really matter anyways. Noone is getting past the Capitals. They can play as sloppy a defensive style as they wish when they have an offense as explosive as theirs. When they are firing on all cylinders, there is no team in the eastern conference that can shut them down.
That was a heartbreaker.
Looks like the NFL refs have made their way into the NHL.
Indeed, I hate to be the person to blame a loss on someone else besides the team, but those calls were incredible. The sabres PK although was not great. This was probably the best sabres have played so far, and once again a shot from the point deflects past Rask. I don’t think he’s played as well as he can in the playoffs. He is giving out nice sized rebounds and has looked a little shaky on a few plays. If sabres play like they did last game, improve on the power play, and keep the game physical, they can easily handle Boston. Ennis continues to impress, he reminds me of St. Louis, with his quickness and puck handling, what an asset he’s been. McCormick, looked real strong and fit right into his line. Our top guys still need to lay off the “I’m going to stick handle through the blueline shit”. Dump it in and collapse.
we absolutely lost this game cause of the refs, there were so many bad calls i cannot believe it we should have won this game for sure. and how about the one ref that kept tripping up a few of the sabres players behind the net in the third, how can you be that stupid and do it more than once.
just another buffalo team living up to the saying “there is always next year”
i am going to submit this logo to the sabres next year for their new logo
WNY {Buffalo: Sabres;

Ouch! Ian Lapierre (sp?) just took a slap shot to the face! Blood everywhere!!!
Not the first time either. Pominville drilled him in the face with a clapper earlier this season. Why wouldn’t you get at least a visor after getting hit in the face the first time?
Yeah I don’t know. Pommers shot got him in the mouth. This time he took it right above his right eye. Dude should Chara up and wear a cage!!
Jesus christ…Nice of fans to cheer his injury. Another reason hockey is a much tougher sport than pretty much any other. If there would have been 2 or 3 more games in the series he would have been back.
Well my predictions are turning out miserably. I can’t believe how easily Philly disposed of the Devils. But I guess I hate the Devils more, and it’s quite funny now to see them knocked out in the first round for the 3rd year in a row. As much of a Sabres fan that I am, I hate Pittsburgh so much more so I’m hoping Ottawa can pull the comeback. Home ice will be huge next game for them, and game 7 would be awesome to see.
My bracket is doing decent if Ottawa wins. There are no more MSG teams left wooo! Stan Fischler is the most annoying person in hockey commentating I think. I hope he gets Malarchuked
Is that who that is commentating the Jersey games? Very animated and over the top about everything. I actually hate all of the Devils broadcasts, it’s like they all have huge hard-ons for that team, no matter what player they are talking about.
woah woah woah i hope no one is bad mouthing Doc Emrick here…
NO he interviews players between periods.
It’s Chico Resch!!! He does the color for the Devils and was alongside Doc Emrick for this past Devils-Flyers series. Very annoying to listen to him commentate.
Vanek is out for the game tonight, as is Torres. Torres is healthy but Ruff feels the need to sit him. Over Mair. I don’t want get into another Mair debate… but jesus Ruff has a hard on for him. Must give good head or something. It’s good to know Mair with his uncanny ability to shoot pucks square into the crest of goaltenders will still be in the lineup.
Gerbe in in place of Torres.

I can’t remember the last time we were on the brink of elimination and we made a good lineup change. We always seem to make drastic lineup moves that make no sense and then get embarrassed and sent home for the season.
