Looking to upgrade my original droid (Verizon) in the upcoming weeks. Should I wait until it gets closer to x-mas incase anything better comes out or is it not worth the wait? I would like to stay with an Android operating system. Suggestions? Opinions?
There are at least 3 phones coming in the next couple of weeks that are better than anything available right now. Nexus Prime in particular, also the Droid HD RAZR, HTC Vigor.
If you’re much of a smartphone geek the moto bionic is the only droid worth considering on VZW right now.
have they released possible pricing for the new phones?

Ventured over to the dark side with the Galaxy S2. Android has a lot to offer but not nearly as smooth as my i4. Might be returning this phone and waiting for the Prime. Screen brightness auto dims even when auto adjust is disabled. Screen locks when it feels like it. Takes 3.5 hours to charge LOL!?!
:tdown: indeed! really dont feel like spending over $300 once it’s all said and done for a damn phone… what happened to the days of getting the best one for closer to $100?! I want THOSE days back!
Speed and functionality is worlds ahead of where the best phones of 3 years ago were…
Honestly the only phones that are smooth and not laggy on everything are nexus phones and thats because there are no skins on top of android. These stupid skins that the phone manufacturers put on make them terrible, I bet if you get the Galaxy Nexus you will be happy
MIUI on my DX is smooth as butter. 
My Droid Incredible isn’t really laggy at all. I am back to stock with it running the gingerbread update, and it runs great. Maybe a HAIR of lag here and there. Nothing like what I have seen on Motorola devices to be honest.
I find phones that are NOT smooth as butter to be completely unacceptable at this point. If the Galaxy Nexus shows ANY signs of lag, I’ll probably get really angry and switch to iPhone.
edit: actually I wouldn’t switch to iPhone, no 4G damnit…I’d be really pissed though lol.
I think Im gonna take the plunge and update from the original droid to the bionic on wednesday… but i really keep thinking something else is going to come out as soon as i buy it. suggestions?
galaxy nexus is due out on november 10th…I’d seriously wait 1 month
really though after looking at the bug list that this phone has and the timeline in which they are supposed to be fixed I would stay away from the bionic, motorola has really gone down hill since the OG droid, even my droid x has stupid bugs that it shouldn’t have
I would wait on getting the Bionic. The next week promises to be historic in Verizon/Android phones. There will be something much much better out early November.
Just ordered a Galaxy Tab.
Intuit just came out with quickbooks for android so now I can do measurements, create an estimate and forward it to the customer to see in minutes instead of days.

IMO, Galaxy Nexus is going to be the phone to have. Your mileage may vary.
