There will be a way to reboot the phone without a battery pull. Do we really think that Motorola Engineers haven’t thought of a way around the first question that every consumer will ask?
if thats the question I already answered that a few post back, you hold down the power button for several seconds. I have the samsung galaxy tab and you cant pull the battery on it, you force restart by holding the power button for 5 seconds
Oh, the first question was if they will take away her unlimited data when she renews. They will not. That question has been beat to death on other sites, as well as questioned in GeeHee’s threads a few times.
Doesn’t always work, I’ve had phones lock up on me before and held the power button for 30+ seconds…nothing. Also fucked up my OG Droid doing a rom one time and was caught in an infinite reboot cycle,
Yes, If you are grandfathered in I believe before July 15th 2011 then you still have unlimited data for the $30 per device.
thanks for answering that for me… i’ve followed this thread for a while… must have missed it. Sorry for the repost.
Taking the battery out and restarting it is sometimes the only way I can get the phone to respond. I’ve had it for almost 2 years now, so i’m sure it’s just getting close to the end. Nonetheless, I just wondered if that question was addressed.
user manual will be available for download when the phone is released tomorrow…I’d assume the procedure for resetting the phone will be in there.
Looks like the Galaxy Nexus should be out early next week. I would guess Monday, since Thursday is Thanksgiving.
It’s out today in the UK:
yeah, that’s all well and good but it doesn’t put it in my hands lol
You’re not kidding…My OG droid is dogging it…Gimme da fkn fone
way to drop the ball on this one verizon
US should always have it first because we are the best and greedy, and if you don’t like us we’ll bomb your house.
lol im not saying first just the same time that everyone else gets it
Yeah, they should have released it everywhere on the same day. Although, in all fairness, the 17th and 10th were all rumored release dates at some point. Maybe some LTE related bugs caused a delay? Either way, I’ll be happy if I can get my hands on one on Monday.
I’ll be paying Jeff a visit…if he can get 2 for me, I’ll gladly give him a rimmer my money.
Well, now that I have my internet problem figured out at the house, I’ll be attempting to root my commando.
I’m sure me and my laptop will have some choice words lol
I had to unroot my Epic 4G to apply the gingerbread update. Using Odin, I got it, but the phone does NOT like 64-bit machines.
Did anyone get the razr yet?? Any feedback??
My wife got one this weekend, she loves it.
Women’s opinions don’t count. You could get them a “new” OG droid and they’d love it.
