i didn’t purchase the “gps” feature or something for the monthly fee…
ugh, im having such a bastard time even managing my contacts from blackberry desktop manager
dont need to. update the OS and it will work with BBmaps for free.

GPS Services - 911 only
anything i need to change?
if you have VZnav on there, you would want device GPS on.
for now, until you upgrade, keep it to 911.
what I noticed, is that once I upgrade, unlocked the GPS, turned 911 on, if I did not SPECIFICALLY stop the program / tell it to stop GPS service, my battery would last 5-7 hours.
I dont use GPS that much, so I keep it off and just turn it on when i want it.
can i manage my contacts without outlook and just through the desktop manager?
i’ve never sync’d my outlook contacts with it, mainly because i dont want them on there. lord knows I would get drunk one night and drunk dial/text someone.
The best way that i have found is through google sync. Just export your outlook addresses to out look run the app. Works like a charm.
