Scroll ball sensitivty, removed some of the unwanted programs installed by default, turned off global and bluetooth, and made sure only default apps are running constantly. Also made sure my browser wasnt left open with a site that auto-refreshes.
Now it seems to only lag when the camera is turned on, so very usable now.

I just picked up a BB Tour as well. Ive been trying to set up all my apps and what not. Only thing I dont like about it so far is the theme. I had the iphone theme on my BB Curve and loved it, The default theme on the tour is confusing for me. Also, I downloaded Opera mini but I can figure out how to get the app icon to appear on my menu, ideas?
It should be in your downloads folder.
I finally figured that out but I dont like that. I shouldnt have to open to the main screen and then open the downloads folder to open opera. On my curve it would show up on the main screen for easy access. Any way I can move it out of the DL’s folder and put it on my home screen? Same thing with Facebook…

click the move option and move it to the homescreen folder
grr, I WONDER if RIM will come out with a BB touch screen with a slide out keyboard.
I like the tour a lot, but I want a big screen like the Storm, but I don’t want a touch screen keyboard.
Maybe i’ll just buy the new Storm in October.

So I just downloaded a theme from bplay because I really need upcoming appointments on my today screen. I’ve had that for years now. Not having it sucks.

It blows. It’s fugging a lovely purple colored theme, icons are ugly as shit, and the text on the today screen is so small you can barely read it. Oh, and it slowed the phone down a bit. I already emailed them asking for my $4 dollars back. :picard:
Oh, and there’s a big open space on the bottom of the screen where “Applications” should be. Obviously a bug. WTF.
Other BB’s came with a Today theme didn’t they? I wonder why this supposed professional-level one didn’t?

ive been rockin bbm 5.0 for awhile. its alright, big emphasis on the interface and such. still kinda quirky sometimes.
The cursor jumps around every once in a while while I’m in the middle of typing. It’s been doing that all along though, but I usually shrug it off as me having hit some button on accident. Sometimes it’ll insert some sort of weird character as if I’m fat fingering the symbol button while I type. I don’t think I am. Weird…
:lol: Now when the headphones cut out it launches voice dialing! :hang:
i used to get that every now and then. thats something u can remove with crackmem i believe.
shrink-a-os will remove voice dialing, but then I wouldn’t have voice dialing.
I think I’m going to replace this thing one more time and if it still doesn’t have an audio port that works 100% I’ll pick a different phone.
