meh, underwhelming… the hardware is fine but it’s not a blackberry experience.
my classic bricked… i brought in to the hot tub and sauna with me… it was fine last time but this time it got all fucky.
anyways, since it’s not a BB OS i actually had to buy the Priv outright AND buy another Classic outright… load the most recent back up on the new Classic then use the content transfer app first on the Classic to put it on google drive then import it on to the Priv… so it took several hours to do all that and in the end i still very very much prefer the classic to the Priv.
the Priv has all the short comings of app/visual focused consumer phones and few of the advantages of a true BB productivity focused experience. silly auto correct, inserted words and bullshit (time stamps) when im using the keyboard, stupid battery life (with heavy use the thing is down to 20% battery in maybe 4-5 hours from 100%)… multiple menus of apps that theoretically are useful but always less useful than just sitting down at your laptop to use the proper website (westjet, twitter / tweetdeck, auto trader, bank apps etc. come to mind)
this phone would be very good for looking at porn or creeping chicks on insta or playing shitty mobile games or all of the other things sheep do with mobile devices… my personal email has already failed to sync on the phone.
but it’s big and shiny and new and everyone who handles it is like… whoa nice phone… because none of them do important things for a living.

It’s an Android phone so unlike your BB you’ll need to pay attention to apps and items that run in the background and suck battery life.
