Paulaner is the best hefe I’ve had in the US, its the closest thing I’ve found to being in Germany.

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid is an excellent IPA.

Waaaayyyy too many other good beers I like to list.

Pearl street has a good scotch ale… FB has a phenomenal scotch ale

omg hop stoopid is sooooooooo goddamn good. such a crisp not too bitter hop taste

Its bitter and sharp like a strong ale/IPA I fucking love it. I have been drinking it over dead guy lately.

See, I can’t really get into the IPAs for some reason. I’ve had a “not quite IPA” and enjoyed that quite a bit, but I just don’t like them. Wish I did, though.

I do not scarf down IPA’s at all I was just saying it has that slight bitterness you get in an IPA. But the body and flavor is of a nice full ale.

Honey Browns?

Gotcha.

My taste in beer has been similar to my taste in women lately- darker and fuller. Guiness and Murphy’s are ruining me; just wish they had more alcohol.

All this talk of beer is making me stop at Consumers tonight on my way home through Orchard Park.:beer2:

i’ve been trying a new beer every week for the past…idk, like 6 months or so. and i have found that the chinese make a couple damn good lagers. harbin being my favorite.

i think the last one i had was a Saranac Caramel Porter. a darker and sweeter beer, but not too heavy really. not my favorite but it was definitely delicious and nice after a long day at work. it was also great with apple pie  lol

If you like Sam, give the Brooklyn Octoberfest a shot…I guarantee you’ll like it, perhaps even more so than the Sam:tup:

Apparently Paulaner makes a good oktoberfest as well. If anyone sees it around, let me know where please

I’ve been drinking Dgfishhead lately, the 60 miniute and 90 minute IPA’s are incredible.

Good choices! Dogfish has proven to be one of the more solid breweries. Have you had the 120 min? Indian Brown is also delicious…

^^^Speaking of Dogfish…

YES!

also, check out the Belle’s Oktoberfest

god I fucking love oktoberfest season

Will do!

After all this talk of Oktoberfest brews, I’ve devised a plan to make the day at work something good:

*smuggle in some beer…Oktoberfest of course
*pour into big coffe mug
*Loop Neil Young Harvest Moon

Holy God this is delicious. Excellent brew. The chocolate and vanilla really smooths the taste transition from malted barley to roasted coffee.

Plus it’s all organic ingredients. Even shade grown coffee beans. You can taste the quality.

Was a nice little change.

ok, this is going to be quite vague…but maybe i’ll get lucky and someone knows.

Pearl Street has a beer called a blond. I know there’s more to the name but wondering 2 things.

Anyone know the full name of the beer I’m referring to? and does anyone know of something found in consumers or a local spot that may be a similar beer?

I do remember it was the only “blond” I saw on the menu located upstairs. I checked the online menu and all I see is a blueberry blond and I’m pretty sure that isn’t it.

Any info on my vague question is appreciated, lol.
