I drank some N’ice CHOUFFE today since I was grilling in the snow. 
Had a Trillium Congress St, Boom Sauce, Kent Falls Juicemaker, Pour Judgement and a few other gems sent recently. We had Boom Sauce and Grimm After Image on at Toutant this weekend.
Opening one of those is often an event. I tend to open them with a big mixing bowl underneath.
Saw boom sauce on tap. I’m heading there Wednesday for happy hour with some co-workers. What’s the chance it’s still on tap?

I would have tried Marble + Rye, Buffalo Proper, or a few others before that.
Local Kitchen was ok, definitely not on the same level as Toutant, Marble + Rye, etc. pretty much all the beers we local (go figure), so that was kind of a turn off for me. I’d probably go again.

So, went to the bottle blowout at the Monk yesterday. I’ve never been to a more epic beer event in my life. 100 tickets sold. The level and number of brews there was completely overwhelming. Bottles were on tables everywhere, usually 3-4 deep, just open. Pour whatever you want, whenever you want. Hell, I’m sure folks were just walking around with bottles. Can’t even begin to describe. I’m sure this will never happen again in my lifetime.
Stayed for the duration, went next door to Sato to grab takeout sushi, went back to the Monk, waited for the DD service to come drive us back home (planned this one in advance), had more ridiculous beers, since at that point, Shatzel was digging way deep into the stash.
Definitely a memorable experience
Then, later in the afternoon
Poor Rob and Chris organized that bottle room in the basement alphabetically by brewer like 4 weeks ago.
And we systematically destroyed it. 
That Fuck Art Let’s Dance had to be damn good!
It is actually disgusting how many of those beers I have had…
I wish they’d move Blue Monk to Hertel. Also, I’m almost out of beer.
Blue Monk isn’t going anywhere. It’s just dead.

I’ll rephrase, I hope Mike open’s Blue Monk V2 on Hertel.
I wanted to go to that so bad and had a ticket… Then my parents flew in from florida and my whole weekend changed. I was happy to see them but sad that I missed this lifetime experience.
Haven’t had a lot of different stuff lately but I got my hands on a Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout and it was delicious.

Had some really, really awesome stuff (BDDC Aphrodite/Aphrodisiaque) and Unibroue La Fin Du Monde (being a Quebec brewery) was on tap for $4, which is crazy to me.
Currently “Waldos” is having a hard time staying in my cooler.
