OFFICIAL Buffalo Sabres Thread

Oh, and sometimes we can pick up over the AIR HD off CBC using a motorized directional antenna. But it’s pure luck and must be the right weather conditions.

Too many give-aways, and too many poor passes, and passes that were on the mark were poorly recieved.
That was going both ways and it was driving me insane. A lot of it was blamed on the poor ice conditions.

It seemed to me that the lighting at MSG was very low. Things looked darker than most games I watch. Is that an old building?

1965…

you cant blame the ice, both teams played on it. its not like the rangers thrive on playing on bad ice. there were bad bounces throughout the game for both teams. i thought the sabres played soso. but the rangers played really well imo. i was impressed with how they played. and callahan is doin nice repin the R-O-C

all i have to say is Rick and Jim for the win!!! Rick and Jim<Any other hockey comantators!

i thought it was a piss poor effort by the sabres. Not to take anything away from the rangers because they played one hell of a game. The sabres once again werent able to put a 60 min effort together, and this time they didnt sneak by. The sabres did have some very good shifts, but they just seemed outplayed and out hustled. They lost alot of battle for pucks and just looked lazy on other plays. Trouble on the powerplay, difficulty clearing / moving the puck up, and turn-overs in the neutral / rangers zones seemed to ultimately make the difference in this game.

the lazy attitude of the team tonight, the 1/8 on the power play, and the hunger to win by the rangers made the game.Miller was fantastic in net once again but he cant stop everything. Our defense was pretty solid throughout the game but got tired towards the end.Deff a dissapointing ending to a double overtime. We had soo many chances to win tonight when lundvquist was out of the net, but no one was ever infront of the net to bang it in.Just wasnt our night i heard rumors that people saw all our guys out partying and shit the night before in nyc, so that might also have a little impact on what happend lol.

fact of the matter… Buffalo playing half-ass = NY playing their best hockey. It went to 2 overtimes with buff playing very lack luster. We step it up, and its done in 5. Buffalo has it in them. We came out flat, and Jager is good… so he capitalized. I dont think theres anything to sweat here.

Don’t forget, “knifing” the puck across the blue line. I didn’t realize that the players were armed.
also don’t forget that every fucking person and their sister CANCELS someone during the play
Wow, nobody else said it or rewound their DVRs?!

End of the 1st OT, the “off the post” shot… was IN THE NET. It went into the back right, bouced back and off the post and then out to the left…

It was a goal, and yet nobody checked it again…

Boo
wow, you’re blind

first of all, every replay showed clear as day that it did NOT go in. second, any person who has ever held a hockey stick can tell you the way the rebound came out, there was no POSSIBLE way that it went in…and i didn’t need a replay to tell me that although i saw it from twenty different views after the fact and it still wasnt a goal then :gotme:

also, a GIGANTIC  to ESPN asshats, who referred to derek roy as travis roy, who i would guess very few here would know as a former BU future NHL star that got paralyzed from a hit in the 90’s

slight difference in the two methinks…

Eh, ice was far from perfect, but the poor passes and give aways in the neutral zone were more-so teh Sabres.

Also, the complete lack of a sustained forecheck surely didn’t help.

Overall, Sabres were mediocre at best, and the Rangers played a good game.

yeah I heard them say that and I was like ‘say whhhaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttt?’

My prediction: Sabres 4, Ranger 2.
And Rosival leaves the game when we re-injure his leg.
And Jagr finally breaks down in tears.
I’m surprised no one called me out on this, so I’ll do it myself. I’m offically out of the prediction business.

4-2… nope, 1-1 with almost a full double overtime to settle it.
Rosival leaves… nope, scores the game winner.
Jagr cries… nope, he has his best game of the series.

I’ll STFU now with predictions.

no no no jay, keep on predicting. maybe the rangers will get a few more wins from that…

I forgot who mentioned that Hull should have punch Ray Ferraro but I second that notion… I wanted to punch Ferraro. I wonder if those two hate each other, I can see it.

what a boaring game… we played like ass

anyone else sick of the 30 replays of the “no goal”?

“the rule states that it must be a deffinitive kicking motion”

douchbag: “you couldn’t kick a football like that”

well no shit… good thing it’s not football :wtf:

LOL!!!

Haha tell me about it. They are arguing that “Wel what defines kicking motion”

HE HIT THE PUCK WITH HIS SKATE!!! HIS STICK WASNT ON THE ICE!!! IT DOESNT GET MUCH BLATENT THAN THAT.

He didnt even make an effort. Just his foot was in the right place at the right time. I dont need to see the NY assholes play the replay over and over again to give the Rangers fans something to bitch about.

That is the last game on NBC this series right? All the rest are on MSG/VS?
