OFFICIAL Buffalo Sabres Thread

Anyone know where you can find a list of players whose contracts are up at the end of this season?

I have seen a few players in the playoffs I wish the Sabres could pick up.

I am really hoping to keep Vanek, Drury and Zubrus.

Last year, no. This year, hell yes. He was unstoppable throughout the entire post season this year. Briere, while he had a decent output, was held quiet through most of the games.

You wouldn’t take Alfredsson over Briere on a straight up trade? I would.

I’m not considering just the post season. And considering Alfredsson’s history in the post season, one year does not a clutch player make.

Yoda?

Pretty interesting stats analysis on goaltenders.

I was definitely right in saying Miller has a pretty terrible blocker-high save percentage.

damn… go glove side on emery!

On a related note. I don’t think this is too accurate. I don’t see how galisano can say that they are poor. Raise ticket prices if that is a problem, they might as well before all the bandwagoners are gone.

man, I certinly hope we don’t let them go

i don’t believe golisano when he says we’ll have to make the 2nd round to break even if we spend right up to to the cap in salaries.

this past year in TICKET sales they made over $20 million from the regular season games, and another $ 7-8 million from the playoffs.

the best merchandise selling team in the NHL, along with food/drink/alcohol sales at every SOLD OUT home game… and golisano is saying he might not make a profit? come on… those $ 60 hoodies that cost about $ 6 to produce and the $ 15 flags that cost less than a buck and the $ 200 jerseys that cost about $ 15… … …

i call complete 100% BS on that. if that was the case, then how would another small market team survive that never gets close to a sellout and sells very little merchandise and doesn’t make the playoffs… ? about 6-7 teams in the league would cease to exist.

BUMP
