I’ve been yelling at my TV in each shootout to put Maxim out there. I guess tonight I finally yelled loud enough for Ruff to hear me. And what does he do? Deeks the goalie almost right out of his skates for an easy goal. :lol:
I’ve really been amazed with his play this year. He was great his first season but a little unstable (so much speed even he couldn’t handle it). Then he got hurt and seemed very slow to come back. This season though he’s playing like every game is the cup finals. A few too many penalties, but that’s going to happen when you play with the intensity he has.

seriously, if the sabres were doing bad this year I would get so much more done around the house. I mean come on, do we have to be this good, what with the bills racking up such great losses?

I’ve never watch so much hockey. The last time I watched this much was the playoffs up through the Stanley Cup. I’m starting to be a bit more of a fan… lol.
I’ve watched every. single. game.
some were at D&B, so they don’t really count. zee bests were the first preseason game, I had box seats for that, and the first regular season game, with the mini stanley cups and the islander beat-down :tup:

Also… Barry melrose completely butchering the sabres names and re-emphasising “OMG THE SABRES are winning” in the ESPN NHL video section of whos hot.
I mean its cool that we’re labeled as a hot team…cause nobody could deny that. I just don’t like the way they’re acting about it. Like we can’t ever be good cause we’re buffalo…grrr see you when we win the cup bitches!! :rant:

Barry melrose is still ok in my book, hes one of the only guys that still brings up the no goal incident and disagrees with the call to this date. I am a lil miffed that the sabres arent getting their props but the last few weeks have been like that. it has been mario lemuix suffering so the penguins lost, philly made mistakes so they lost. The headlines never read the sabres are doing well. Im used to it by now.
Yeah, i’ve never had a problem with Melrose until this happend. He’s still ok…but still kinda pisses me off. Oh well.

Actually melrose has always been a fan of the sabres as far as I can remember. I think he likes that they are almost always the underdog.
at least he got rid of the mullet!!!

Miller did a great job, i love the fact that lindey has to choose between 2 outstanding goal tenders. Im glad miller doesn’t seem to have lost anything in his downtime.
I hate to say it, but I think they needed that lose against the Panthers. They looked sluggish and unmotivated the other night, but what I caught of the Tampa game, they looked alot more motivated.
And I’m still sticking with Miller > Marty.
I’d agree… a loss puts alot of things in check for them. We lost a few streaks thanks to the loss but that’s ok because that was a great win last night.
