The puck did look like it was going to come around to the other side. I think it either went off an ottawa players skate or the dude tossed the puck to the front which tricked miller. Definitely his mistake and im sure he felt shitty for it. But he totally redeemed himself when he traded the shaggy van for the gas powered mini bike…I mean during the shootout.
Best game of the year last night. Ruff said the game had a playoff atmosphere from beginning to end, and I agree. Soooo exciting
yea, it would have definitely gone around, but it hit smolinskis stick about a millisecond before mckee could put it around…took me 3 looks at the replay to figure out wtf happened…
and also a big thanks to heatley for losing the puck…lol…but miller would have stuffed him anyways
haha ive seen vanek do that move many of times, but it never looked so sweet as it did going over haseks shoulder last night. wtf was hasek doing anyways, ducking?
I still dont see how. Generally when a player is going around the net, the goalie is supposed to follow them around and it’s the defenses responsibility to pick up the man in front. VERY SELDOM will the puck do what it did and last i checked miller doesn’t have eyes in the back of his head the Ottawa player didn’t even mean to do that, it was a fluke goal.
Max has always been one of my top 3 players… this proves why. If you watched him play all game… against Ottawa as well… he’s all over the place kickin’ every ones ass.
Did anyone see him skate a circle around the guy that came out the box?
does anyone have a video or link to one of the vanek winning shootout goal vs ottawa? of course i’ve checked everywhere, can’t seem to locate it… and ESPN.com always gives us shyt coverage.
but the sabres didn’t look that good last night. the score says different, but they were outhustled, outshot, and generally put on their heels by a desperate habs squad. this is one of the instances where skill > desire, but they didn’t play the same game they played against ottawa, which is probably my second favorite game this year so far.
hell, I’m more worried about the florida game than I am against carolina! it seems that they let their guard down for “lesser” teams.
as they should. montreal was at home scrambling for a much needed win. buffalo took the best montreal could throw at them and still played a decent game, and came out on top. how can you argue with that?
I think thats normal. When you have a big game, generally you play harder. Buffalo teams over the years seem to have trouble with easy teams and play well against the more talented teams.
