ok here’s a question for all sabres fans now that miller’s almost ready to come back. what do we do now? have another goaile problem like we did a couple years back? Biron is playing awsome, but miller’s a hell of a goalie n i wouldnt want to see his young career wrecked by sitting him on the bench. Do they let biron play till he loses a few games then put miller back in? but then what after that? keep playing switch up till the playoffs come and we dont know who we use to go all the way? If some how we go to the cup and still arent set on a deffinate starter goalie all its going to be is drama every game over who starts. If we lose they will be like “oh damn we shoulda started the other guy… he’s better anyways”
maybe im just running on about nothing… lemme know what you’s think
It’s a good question, but I think the smart move is to keep what you have when you’re winning. Seems thats how they do it in the NHL. Play the hot goalie then mix Miller back in. Let time sort out whos hotter, but dont just drop biron cause millers back.
Miller will and should start once he is healthy. Yes Biron is playing good but I dont think the team is winning because of that. The team is making him look better than he really is. Mr. Nocars post is exactly why he should not start once miller is back. Biron is STREAKY. He will make 30 good saves in a row and then give up the most retarded goal that your little sister could save. We do not need a goalie like that right now. The team is finding ways to win, biron is not winning for us. If a team is already up 3-0 in the second period then there is no reason that we should have to score 4 goals just to win the game.
I don’t know how you would start Miller as soon as he is “ready to play”. You can’t change what’s helping you win so drastically. Let Biron play till he starts losing. Besides… they will put Miller in during one of the Pittsburgh home and home games.
Biron right now > Miller when he is “ready”
Eventually I know Miller will be back in which is fine… you just shouldn’t change what is helping us be one of the best teams in the league.
But the thing is Biron, even though he is playing very well, is not the reason they are winning games. The ENTIRE team is figuring out how to win no matter what situation they are in. So you put a more solid goalie in net, keep the same lines, etc. and they will still win.
God you guys are acting like biron is how hasek was to the team when we made that run to the finals.
Not at all… I agree with what you are saying very much so. I can’t wait until Miller is our starter again. I just think that you work him in slowly and not just say ok you are the man… now go. Slowly working him in is the best way.
I dont think he will need to be worked in slowly because of his injury. He only injured his thumb. Its not like it was a groin injury or anything that will affect his stance and how he moves. Its just the thumb. I read an article where he said he needs to build up the musculature in that thumb but thats about it.
Plus, he only played 10 games before he was hurt and look at how awesome he was doing in his FIRST YEAR. Hes already showed he doesnt need much time to adapt to the fast pace of the nhl.
you guys say put miller in when he is ready…why. Just like everybody is saying…biron is hot right now, so why pull him. and chris in one post u said it wasn’t biron and it was the team that was good…i agree and disagree with that. yes the sabres are doing good…but, an example was last nights game. The sabres were falling apart in the 3rd period. Their offense was shit. Biron had A LOT of clutch saves in that period that saved our asses.
